Donate to the Ratkrul Foundation
The Raktrul Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization established in 2000 in Red Hook, New York, USA by the Venerable Bardor Tulku Rinpoche to address the many needs of the people living in the villages surrounding the Raktrul Monastery. Charitable donations to Raktrul are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
In general, The Raktrul Foundation seeks cash donations. Our liaison in Tibet, Mr. Tashi Dorje, is able to purchase needed items from cash donations thus saving freight & customs charges so that your donations do as much good as is possible.
At present, all donations to The Raktrul Foundation go to benefit the people in the villages surrounding Raktrul monastery. There are no administrative fees paid to the all volunteer staff of The Raktrul Foundation.
As the foundation grows, there may come a time when some donations are needed to for administrative supplies, or fundraising costs.
The Raktrul Foundation is pleased to report that we are again preparing another trip to Tibet in July of 2014. Dr. Charles Kutler has updated us to report that the Tibet trip is on and going forward. The 2014 team is a group of four physicians, one physicians' assistant, and one nurse practitioner.
The 2014 team also includes one dentist, one student who will serve as the dental assistant, one registerd nurse and two acupuncturists.
The Raktrul Foundation is very grateful that we have such a great group of committed and talented volunteers who are going to help serve the Tibetan people who are iin great need of medical services.
